Game One: Win at home vs. Memphis

Wow.  We look good.  Bledsoe is amazing.  His decision-making has improved by leaps and bounds.  Jamal Crawford – I mean when he has it going, it’s a thing of beauty.  Yeah, Caron still stinks, but the rest of the team was impressive. Blake’s 11 and 7 might have been the best 11 and 7 I’ve ever seen.  That play when he went mid-air and took the ball from Z-Bo (Blake got called for a foul) was actually amazing.  He looked like a monster.  Z-Bo’s about as dirty a player as we have in the league.  I’d still like to see CP get it going earlier, but again, he was there in the fourth quarter.

Lamar is really out of shape, but the key with him is to see if he’s rebounding.  If he is, you know his head is in the game – and he was last night.  Like he said in the post game comments, he doesn’t trust himself offensively yet, and that’s why he threw the ball away stupidly when he should have – and normally would have – gone to the hole – if he wasn’t a step slow because he’s carrying an extra 25 pounds on him.  Hopefully he’ll round into shape in about two months.

My one criticism tonight?  Too much Willie Green and not enough Bledsoe.

Crawford was amazing, but my game ball tonight goes to Bledsoe.  Check that, I’m splitting the game ball between Bledsoe and Crawford.

Are you concerned about the 22 turnovers?

Agree that Willie Green played too many minutes, but I’m willing to give him a few more games to convince me otherwise since JC was insane off the bench. I worry (as you have) that Bledsoe and CP3 won’t work together, and that seemed to be the case last night in the 4th when VDN had them both in. I also still have concerns about DJ in crunch time.

That was about as tough of a regular season game as I’ve ever seen, and the Clippers looked really good despite missing some big pieces.

I’m concerned about the 22 turnovers; and encouraged wondering how good we can be if we solve this weakness and get all our players back.
Game ball goes to Crawford, Bledsoe and CP3… Randolph’s thuggery was the ref’s fault, they let Randolph get away with murder, he should have been ejected after that ” throw down” against Griffin !

VDN doesn’t look like he improved the offensive or defensive schemes at all. Small sample size, but we’ll only go as far as the players can carry us.
